Resurrection is an awesome annual event of worship and spiritual growth for youth and youth mentors. Each year over 12,000 come together in Gatlinburg, TN, to celebrate the God of The Resurrection. Through inspirational words and music led by nationally-known speakers and musicians, young people encounter the Lord in new and deeper ways.
For many, Resurrection is an opportunity for conversion, decision, and revival. For others, it becomes a moment of realization that their faith needs to grow deeper and more serious.
Resurrection is hosted by the youth ministry of the Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church. Most of the youth and adults who attend Resurrection come from the geographical areas of northeast Georgia, eastern Tennessee, and southwestern Virginia. However, a significant and growing number of youth and adults come from churches outside of this region. Resurrection has become an interdenominational celebration, welcoming youth and adults from Baptist churches, Presbyterian churches, the Christian Church, Lutheran churches, and more, as well as non-denominational churches; and from states as far away as Florida, Mississippi, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Resurrection testifies to the common experience of Jesus Christ's living Lordship that binds all believers into one, despite our divisions. We desire to make all welcome here.
Although Resurrection has become a large gathering over its 30-year history, the focus of the event has remained constant: the individual young person and his or her response to Jesus Christ. We recognize the leadership of their parents, their peers, their leaders in their local churches, and youth groups to grow in radical discipleship that can change the world.

The program is the same both weekends. Resurrection will offer two complete sessions during the first weekend. You will stay with either Session A or B throughout the weekend. During the second weekend, there will only be one session. A deaf interpeter will be provided during Session A (Weekend 1) and Session C (Weekend 2). A Spanish interpreter will be provided during Session B (Weekend 1) and Session C (Weekend 2).
A talent offering from each of the twelve Holston Conference UMC districts and talent offerings from groups outside the conference will be performed at Resurrection. If you are within Holston Conference, please contact your District Youth Coordinator for information on how to audition. Contact info for each coordinator can be found at holstonyouth.com. If you are from outside the conference, please contact Laura Lambert for more information on auditioning. Also, this year, youth-created video offerings will be chosen to be used throughout the weekend. Submit video entries to Laura Lambert by November 15, 2014.
In addition to praying generally for this ministry, you are invited to participate in two specific prayer-based opportunities available at Resurrection: the Prayer Room and the Prayer Path. The Prayer Room will be available in the Convention Center throughout the weekend for anyone in your group to use. The Prayer Path will be offered on Saturday.
Leader's prayer breakfasts are scheduled for Saturday morning of each weekend: Weekend 1 at 8:00 AM for Session A and 10:00 AM for Session B; Weekend 2 at 8:00 AM only. The breakfast will be located upstairs in the Gatlinburg Convention Center. Please send at least one adult from your group to help undergird this event with prayer. Reservation cards will be included in the December information packets.
Registrants are responsible for arranging their own accommodations. You can contact the Gatlinburg Department of Tourism and Convention Center (865-436-2392) for information, or visit gatlinburg.com. We suggest you make your reservations as soon as possible.
At Resurrection 2012, Reggie blew our collective minds with his electric speaking style and his personal attitude. We are thrilled that he is joining us again for Resurrection 2015 to help us celebrate our 30th year with a bang.
Reggie Dabbs has been one of the most sought after speakers in the world for the past 20 years. From the largest of stadiums to the smallest of schools, Reggie shares his amazing story with millions of people each year. His book, Reggie: You Can't Change Your Past, But You Can Change Your Future (with John Driver) was released in Spring of 2011 through Thomas Nelson Publishers. Reggie has been married to his wife, Michelle, for over 20 years and they have one son, Dominic. Reggie and Michelle live in Ft. Myers, FL.
For two years The City Harmonic has brought their unique music to Resurrection, and we are thrilled to have them joining us again this year to celebrate our 30th Resurrection.
The City Harmonic is a Juno Award winning Canadian Christian rock band formed in 2009 after having served together as the house worship band for an inter-denominational "worship and mission" event for students in Hamilton, Ontario. Their music has been described as "nostalgic Brit-pop meets campfire sing-along mix that features raucous gang vocals along with agile, soaring anthems crafted to include the listener." Musically, their sound is often compared to artists like Coldplay, Keane, Aqualung, The Fray, or Arcade Fire. They have won numberous awards and their music is guaranteed to stick with you for years to come.
Regular registration is now open for Resurrection 2015. Regular registration is $40 per person until December 1, 2014. After that date, the late registration price is $50 per person. You can register online or you can download the form and mail it in. Either way, register before December 1 to guarantee that your group gets a spot at Resurrection 2015!
Any group wanting to have a booth at the Resurrection conference must fill out the Vendors and Exhibitors form and mail it in, along with the application fee, by December 31, 2014. You can download the vendor form here.
Because we want to encourage your senior or associate pastor to attend with your group, he/she may attend for free. Limit one pastor per charge.
Full refunds are available for any cancellations made in writing to email@example.com or mailed to Resurrection 2015, PO Box 850, Alcoa, TN 37701 by December 1, 2014. After that date, no refunds will be made.
